life lately

i've been starting my days off with walks along the beach. trying to clear my mind & relax a little. i don't get far before stopping to capture a little piece of where we live. power walking along the beach has become my therapy from the busyness of everyday. only 2 more sleeps till summer begins & i am quietly counting down the days to the school holidays. i can't wait to recharge. unwind properly & spend more time at the beach.

what do you do to escape the busyness of daily life?

something special

there's something special about meeting new families & capturing memories for them. sometimes i turn up to a requested location not knowing much about the families i am going to meet. but once we start the photo sessions all unfolds into time spent giggling & chatting & enjoying. these 3 siblings were a pleasure to photograph & it was lovely meeting such a gorgeous family. enjoy!

it's

pouring with rain. my girls are constantly arguing with each other. the fire needs wood. washing needs drying. the postman is late today. my husband has my car. his is in pieces. the postie has the needed car bits. i'm working on relaxing during these school holidays & hoping the next few days go very slowly! but if my girls continue to argue maybe not so slowly.

my

screen saver for the month:

no one likes negativity & when i go through tough times one of the things that helps to get me through is to be positive. to think in a better way & to clear the thoughts that hold me down.

 {may was lots of fun. hello june}
 {it's never too cold for a bare footed sand walk!}

shades of winter blue

winter has arrived & i am loving the chance to snuggle under warm blankets & embrace the season of the roasting fire. the early morning cold air has been warming up so we are still to be blanketed with the real coldness. time to go through my wardrobe & have the boots & woollens ready!

autumn days

the mornings have been crisp & cold but the days full of sunshine. i have been loving being able to get the washing dry outdoors instead of having it hanging all over the house! the colours of the leaves changing have been amazing & the sun an added bonus.

what is your favourite thing about the season of autumn? any great recipes to share with seasonal produce? {feel free to add a link in the comments. my family will thank you!}

life lately

 {bean bag loving while we wait for our new couch to arrive. it's been 7 yrs in the waiting 6 weeks in the making & it's due to arrive within the next 3hrs!}

 {my first Donna Hay packet cake mix attempt. wasn't much left after a few days so i'm guessing it's a winner?!}

 {gorgeous sunsets}

 {& peaceful early mornings}

 {new coffee stops explored}

 {welcoming a new member of the family 'Bella' the most adorable westie who can handle many cuddles & all the attention 2 little girls can dish out!}

 {school holiday baking}

 {night times that come so much faster after putting our clocks back. fairy lights always help add some sparkle}

{watching my girls grow up & imagining the day their feet will actually fit into my shoes!}
